Vernie Leak Tucker was born on August 12, 1933. She departed her life unexpectedly on July 18, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her three sons, Terry Leak, Pastor Narvie Tucker, and Kelvin Tucker.

She leaves to mourn four daughters, Joanie, Debra, Kathy, and Karen Tucker; three brothers, Robert, Elder James (Barbara), and Pastor Gwathney Leak; two sisters, Minnie Polite and Annie Mason; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Thursday at the Church.
