Ms. Vendetta Hege was born on May 15, 1948 to Lucille and John Thomas Hege, Sr. She departed her life on August 1, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters,  Equilla Miller and Carolyn Hege; and brother, John Thomas Hege, Jr.

She leaves behind two children, Harold Hege and Tomica Hege Kirby; a devoted son-in-law, James Kirby; four very special grandchildren, Piragio Thompson, Devonte' Hege, Ni'Sheika Sapp and Ja'Kqwann Thompson; eleven great-grandchildren; two devoted nieces, Cassandra Sales and Careka Williamson; two devoted cousins, Harvey Barber and Maria Strickland; a devoted goddaughter, Kim Scales; a very close friend, Pamela Young; a very special and devoted friend, Roosevelt Hayes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She also leaves behind His love to a host of women and men that knew her. They all had their individual bond with Vendetta and His love will stay with them.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Chapel.
