Obituary

Mr. Tyrone Lee Carroll son of Odell and Roxie Carroll was born August 12, 1941 in Forsyth County. He went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
Tyrone was a member at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Belews Creek, NC where he served on various auxiliaries such as, the male chorus, pastor's aide and the deacon board. He was also a member of Red Rock Lodge No.809, Walkertown, North Carolina until his health declined.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Roxie Carroll; a brother, James E. Flynt precedes him in death and a sister, Levolia E. Satterfield.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Rachael C. Carroll; three daughters, Melissa Carroll McCullough, Michelle Carroll, and Robin Carroll of the home; two sons, John (Carolyn) Carroll, Sr. and Ronald (Tracey) Carroll, Sr. of Winston- Salem, NC; four grandsons, Ronald Carroll Jr., John Carroll Jr., Cedric McCullough Jr., and Tyron Carroll all of Winston- Salem, NC; two grand-daughters; Tryronda Carroll and Ma'kayla Williams also of Winston-Salem, NC; five sisters, Beatrice Willis, Dorothy Bruton, Arlene Carroll, Mary (Ernest) Rice of Winston-Salem, NC, and Ruby Hairston of Walnut-Cove, NC; five brothers, Cleo Carroll, Paul Carroll, Jimmie Carroll, Stanley (Sharon) Carroll, Raymond (Thelma) Carroll all of Winston- Salem, NC; two aunts, Lillie Welch of Stokesdale, NC and Marie Carroll of Walnut Cove, NC; five sister-in-laws Mary Simmons, Connie Conner of Westfield, NC, Marie (Thomas) Clark, Ernestine Joyce of Lawsonville, NC and Etta Conner of Winston- Salem, NC; one brother-in-law Reid (Linda) Conner of Mt. Airy, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Belews Creek, NC with Pastor Billy Ray Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 2 pm until 2:30 pm Sunday at the church.
