Truelove B. Johnson, 79, of 3345 Carver School Rd. departed this life Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at her residence. She was the daughter of Theodore Barrett and Bernice Houston Barrett.

She retired from the W-S/Forsyth County School system after more than 30 years of service. Truelove was the owner of Carver School Rd Barber Shop and a dedicated member of First Waughtown Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeremiah Johnson, Jr.; brother, Amos Barrett; sister, Lizzie B. Alexander; and nephews, William Alexander, Jr. and Raymond Barrett.

Those left to cherish loving memories are her sons, Robert L. Barrett of the home and Jeremiah Johnson of W-S, NC; step-daughter, Rolanda Rush of W-S, NC; granddaughter, Jade Johnson of W-S, NC; best friend, Lizabeth Logan of East Spencer, NC; a devoted niece, Carolyn A. Logan of East Spencer, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at First Waughtown Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Church.
