Trevon LaGene Mitchell - "Tre"- was born on November 7, 2006 in Cabarrus County to Cory Mitchell and the late Victoria Gonzales. He passed away on June 10, 2023 and will be remembered for his outgoing personality, infectious smile, sense of humor and loyalty to his friends. At the time of his passing, Tre was a student in the Davie County School System.

In addition to his mother, Tre was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Carolyn Dobson.

He is survived by his custodial grandparents, David and Natachia Mitchell of Davie County, NC; his father, Cory Mitchell of Kernersville, NC; sisters and brothers, ToriAna Stokes and TeeGan Gaither of Rowan County, NC; and Xzavier and Zoey Mitchell of New Jersey; grandmothers, Tammy Summers of Lexington, NC and Audie Johnson of Indiana; grandfather, George Gonzales of Indiana; great-grandparents, Hugh Lee Dobson (Clara) of Yadkinville, NC and Daisy and Tony McCorkle of Archdale, NC. Tre is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him terribly.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, June 19, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home, 822 Carl Russell Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Tuesday at the Chapel.
