Obituary

Travis Blair Allen lived a life that many strive for, but few truly embody — a life of service, love, and unwavering devotion to God.

Born on November 1, 1996, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Alexander Allen and Richella Evette Rhodes Allen. Travis was more than a son, brother, and friend — he was a servant. And not just in title, but in spirit. From a young age, it was clear that Travis carried something special and had a calling on his life for ministry.

Travis attended John B. Glenn High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (2011-2015). During his time there he was on the wrestling team where he received many awards, accolades and made a huge impact and contribution to his fellow teammates and coaches. Travis was a part of the Glenn High School Concert Choir where his music instructor and choir members loved and raved about him and his talent.

He furthered his education by attending Belmont Abbey College located in Belmont, North Carolina. (2015- 2020)

He was a Wrestling Team Captain, a Resident Assistant, a Bible Study Facilitator and he represented his college as an Abbey Ambassador. Travis graduated with a double major in Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and minored in Psychology.

Travis was a musical genius. He not only had a beautiful voice, but also played the piano and guitar, and wrote and produced his own music. Travis would steal the show with his dynamic dancing ability. Everyone that knew Travis knew how gifted and talented he was in music and arts. His gift for art was discovered at the young age of three when he began drawing superheroes in such a detailed form.

Ministry was his purpose and mission. Travis served his community through mission work, serving in his church communities, preaching, teaching, leading Bible studies, leading men's groups and discipleship groups, and also completing an internship in pastoring. Travis had become a part of many ministries throughout his journey of evangelism. He was a member of Central Triad Church located in Winston-Salem, NC.

He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Bobby James Allen, Earnestine Fortune, Nathaniel Ronald Rhodes, Sr. and Rose Marian Rhodes-Koger.

Travis B. Allen leaves behind his father, Alexander Allen; mother, Richella Rhodes Allen; sister, Chiquita Rhodes; brother, Alexander O’Bryant Clayton; nephew, Jaylen T. Braham; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He leaves behind a legacy of faith and love. His Legacy Lives On and will continue through his family and friends. Travis didn’t just talk about serving God — he served Him with his life.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23

“For you, O Lord have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.” -Psalm 116:8
