Tracy Jean Forrest, affectionately known as "Pinky," was born on March 4, 1948, in Winston-Salem, NC, to Daisy Bell Truesdale and William Motley. She peacefully passed away on January 4, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daisy Bell Truesdale and William Motley; as well as her brother, Rudolph Sturdivant.
Tracy's life was centered around her deep faith, her love for her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, family, her joy in crocheting and gardening.
Tracy's memories will be cherished by her daughters, Sharon Forrest Thomas (Dorez), Karen Forrest, Sonya Thomas (Patrick), and Melinee Forrest; sisters, Beverly Staley, Lela Claggett (David Claggett); brother, Eugene Wade; grandchildren, Takia McGee (Jaquan), Jamil Thomas (Cady), Jewaun Thomas, Bryant Forrest, Billy McKeever, III, Christopher Thomas, Patrick Thomas, Kelsie Thomas, Ricky Forrest, Tracie Forrest, and Jalen Forrest; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:30am at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am on Saturday at the Chapel.
