Tonya Lynette Henderson McPhatter, age 65, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023.  She was born June 15, 1957 in Winston-Salem, NC to Lillie and James Henderson, Sr.

Tonya attended RJ Reynolds High School and Montreal College.  Before her untimely passing, Tonya worked full time for the City of Winston-Salem for the city secretary office.

Tonya is survived by her mother, Lillie Henderson; her father, James (Joan) Henderson, Sr.; her husband, Hammond McPhatter; her daughter, Hillary McPhatter Prince; grandson, Emmerson Thompson; brother, James Henderson, Jr.; nephew, James Henderson, III; best friend, Paula McClenton; and many more relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
