Tonya Glenn Bess, 51, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, November 16, 2018.  She was born on October 17, 1967, to Shirley Glenn and Leonard Glenn, Sr.

She was a prominent business owner of Sherrod's Beauty Salon and Prime Tyme Soul Food Cafe.

Awaiting her arrival were her father, Leonard Glenn, Sr.; her brother, Leonard Bernard Glenn, Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Charlene Bess.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Timothy Sherrod Bess, Sr.; son, Timothy Sherrod Bess, Jr.; mother, Shirley Glenn Jeffries; four sisters, Kathy Glenn, Cheryl Lane Glenn, Lionesse Birch (William), and Candace Glenn Collison (Robert); mother-in-law, Ola Morris; sister-in-law, Cynthia Lofton (Welton); brothers-in-law, Lamont Bess and Bernard Hall; three granddaughters; two nieces and two nephews; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Greater Church with Bishop Sheldon McCarter officiating.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
