Obituary

Tonithia D. Dendy-Elder was born April 25, 1973 to the late Hilda Wilborn Dendy and surviving, Robert B. Dendy, in Winston-Salem, NC.  She was a graduate student of Parkland High School and Winston-Salem, State University, where she obtained a degree in Business Administration and Management. She was well traveled, however, remained a life-long resident of her hometown, Winston-Salem, NC.

Her favorite things included shopping, and more shopping, dressing to the 9's, reading love and life novels, taking care of others and picking at her like-twin big brother.

She will always be honored and remembered for her easy friendship, dedication to family, her preparedness, faith and acceptance for every situation she was to experience, for her 'matter-of-fact' conversations, her warm, loving, strong, nurturing, fun and light-hearted spirit,  least not leave out her endearing love for her fur babies (late, Hershey and Bentley), family and friends and most of all, loving on all she knew through their good, bad and indifference.

Her favorite saying's… 'Charge it to my head and not my heart';  'It Is What It Is' and in her last request to most of us; 'Stop All That Crying, I'm Good'…

She leaves to cherish her memories : Her dutiful, loving, dedicated husband, Antonio Elder, of Winston-Salem, NC; loving father, Robert B. Dendy, of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers, Kevin L. Dendy (Felicia Dendy) of  Atlanta, GA; and Michael B. Smith (Valerie Smith), Winston Salem, NC; motherly aunt, Gloria J. Mitchell (Carl Mitchell) Winston Salem, NC; uncles, Ronald Dendy, Winston Salem, NC, and Henry Dendy, Austin, TX; nieces, Robin Allen, Winston-Salem, NC, and Aquanda Dendy-Peoples (James Peoples), McKinley, TX; nephews, Elijah Smith, Winston-Salem, NC and Isiah L.
