Toney Ray Tucker slipped quietly away at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, surrounded by loving family members. Toney, the youngest child of William "Russell" and Hazel Little Tucker, was born July 16, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. Toney spent many years in Bloomington, Minnesota along with his late brother, Gordon. There Toney was employed as a Quality Control Engineer for a computer manufacturer. He later returned to Winston-Salem where he once again worked in quality control until he became disabled. Toney enjoyed chess and fishing as long as he was able to do so.

Toney was preceded in death by his mother; father; and brothers, Gordon and Lennard Tucker.

He is survived by his sister, Hazel Tucker McGill of the home; brothers, William (Carolyn) Tucker, Jr. of Greensboro, NC and Edward (Margie) Fulk of Winston-Salem, NC; sister-in-law, Cecelia Tucker of Fishersville, VA; a devoted cousin, Katrinka Little of Kernersville, NC; and many other family members and friends.

In honor of his wishes, there will be no formal service. However, the family may be contacted at the home of his sister.
