Tobias Dejuan Johnson, known to friends and fans as SauxePaxk TB, age 17, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 6, 2020, at Hermann Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He was born November 2, 2003, in Winston Salem, NC, to Tobias Johnson, Sr. and Kenyetta Hardy. Tobias attended school with the Winston Salem Forsyth County School System. He received the President's Award in school 3 of his primary school years. He was an incredibly special gem to everyone he touched during his short, but purposeful life. He was always full of laughter, love, and life. From an early age, Tobias could light up a room and steal the spotlight, just by smiling at you. During his youth, he sang in the choir and danced on the dance ministry at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Tobias loved church and was always active in any way he could be. At the age of 6, Tobias became Drum Major for the Louise G. Wilson Twirlers, performing and marching alongside Carver High School. At an early age, Tobias began his career as a musical entertainer. He worked as an artist with No Stress Entertainment. By the age of 14, he was known to his friends and fans as "SauxePaxk TB" but to his loved ones, he was simply Tobias.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mary Hardy Dixon and Jacqueline Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents: Tobias Johnson, Sr. and Kenyetta Hardy (Shon McDowell); siblings, AnTonyo Ross, Kendron Ross, Brittney Johnson, Kekoa Thompkins, Tobias Johnson Jr., and Malaya Johnson, all of Winston Salem, NC; paternal grandfather, Ephram Chandler (Darlene) of Winston Salem, NC; maternal grandfather; Calvin Hardy of Shelby, NC; great-grandmother, Essie Hardy of Shelby, NC; a very special 2 nd family, Katy Channel, Naomi Channel, and Savannah Channel of Winston Salem, NC; his closest friends; Jibril Caesar, Tajhon Woodruff, and D'Aveon "Abby" Greene; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
