Mr. Timothy Lamont Scales, 60, also known as "Tim" and "Sly" of Winston-Salem, NC passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

He leaves to mourn precious memories his loving son Jarreau (Lisa) Richmond; his baby sister, Darlene (Gregory) Whitfield of Morrisville, NC; his big brother, Lonnie Scales of Charlotte, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends especially his long time "homeboy," Haney; and not only his niece but his close friend as well, "Little One."

Tim was born November 19, 1959 to Lonnie & Frances Scales. He graduated from Reynolds High School in 1978. He married his soulmate "Smoochie" on February 21, 1991 and she preceded him in death on June 12, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verlinda Faye Scales; and his brother, Robert Scales.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much  that you just want to pick them up from your mind and hug them. For all that know and love Tim, know that we will have many of those happy, laughing, crazy and loving moments of Tim from here on out. As Tim would say on his exit, "Luv U!"

Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 6:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
