Obituary

Timothy Christopher Revel was born December 14, 1989 in Winston-Salem, NC to Brenda Epps Revel and Bernard Sylvester Revel. "Tim" as he was called by those who knew and loved him, graduated from Carver High School in 2008 and continued his education at Forsyth Technical Institute up until this time. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ at North Point of which his father is the current minister. Tim was baptized into the body of Christ at the tender age of 12 years old. Faithful in service until the Lord called him home for earth to glory on March 28, 2010.
As a child and adolescent from age five through his teenage years, Timothy was a gifted athlete who excelled in both football and baseball. An avid Redskin fan inherited from his grandfather and father from birth. Smart, witty, intelligent, a father couldn't ask for a more loving son. To know him was to love him. Never met a stranger. Easily befriended. Always willing and ready to help someone out. Tim's number one girl, Kelli Scales, reserved a special place in his heart of hearts. Timothy loved all of his family and cared without reservation for his people. He loved his church family unconditionally. We all thank God for the time he allowed our lives to be shared with "Tim Tim". He will be missed but never forgotten by a host of family and friends. We all wanted him to stay with us but God has something more important for him in glory.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and caring mother, Brenda Epps Revel and a dedicated father, Bernard S. Revel; one brother, Tarik L. Revel of Washington, DC; two grandmothers, Ether Epps of Winston-Salem, NC and Mary Revel of Washington, DC; six uncles, Joe, Leroy, and Lavern Epps, and Roger Saunders all of Winston-Salem, NC, Tyrone Revel and Keith Saunders of Washington, DC; eight aunts, Judiea Crockett, Ruby, Sharon, and Vickie Epps, and Angela Oliver all of Winston-Salem, NC, Sharon Scott, Donna Hunt, and Felicia Futrell of Washington, DC; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Friday, April 2, 2010 at Carver Road Church of Christ with Brother Cloys Cecil officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until Noon on Friday at the Church.
