Thomasina Williams was born on September 25, 1962, in Stamford, Connecticut to the late Grover Williams and Frances Mason. She departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.
Thomasina was a devoted and loving mother to her only biological son, Terrell Kobe Bryant Williams-Bolton, whom she cherished deeply. She also lovingly adopted and raised Cameron Nance and Raymond Nance, as her own sons.
She is survived by her sister, Letanya D. Blackwell; her brothers, James Mason II and Curtis Williams; her nephews, James Mason III, Teondre’ Chappelle, and Taurean Chappelle; and her Goddaughter, Shatasha Patterson. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, church family, and close friends who loved her dearly.
Thomasina was raised on Merrill Avenue in Stamford, where she grew up as the only girl among the neighborhood boys—never afraid to stand her ground. As she grew older, she naturally stepped into a nurturing role, becoming like a second mother to her younger siblings and cousins. Although she left school early, her determination led her to earn her GED and later an Associate’s degree in Medical Billing and Coding from Anthem College.
Throughout her life, Thomasina worked various jobs, but she truly believed in living life to the fullest. She enjoyed attending concerts, going to parties, and spending time out enjoying herself. She had a deep love for basketball, first supporting the New York Knicks and later becoming a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. Her admiration for Kobe Bryant was so strong that she named her son after him, a name she proudly shared with everyone she met, whether they were ready to hear it or not.
Thomasina loved getting her hair and nails done and had a joyful spirit that made her a pleasure to be around. She was known for her contagious smile, vibrant personality, and unforgettable laugh. She had a heart full of love and would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Strong and resilient, she was tougher than most and never allowed weakness to define her.
To her son, Thomasina was everything. For 25 years, they stood side by side, facing life together. She made sure he was cared for, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed. Through every struggle, she found a way to provide—ensuring he attended good schools, played sports, and had what he needed to grow into the man he is today. Her strength never wavered, even until the very end.
Her son will forever carry her legacy, strength, and unconditional love in his heart. Thomasina Williams will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Carver Road Church of Christ. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Saturday at the Church.
