Thomasina Reeder Robertson, 87, departed her earthly home to enter her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 following a period of illness. Born on November 6, 1932 to Mayer and Daisy Reeder, she was the tenth of thirteen children. She was a graduate of Paisley High School.
Following graduation Ms. Robertson worked for Forsyth Memorial Hospital as a surgical technologist for over 30 years, from which she retired. She was a faithful member of Mercy Seat Holy Church for over 30 years.
Ms. Robertson loved having plenty of flowers around and her favorite hobby was gardening. She also loved the company of her grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 siblings, Elizabeth "Honey" Reeder, Henry "Boy" Reeder, Mattie "Doll" Reeder, Daisy Dawkins, Willie Mae Nelson, Maeola Johnson, Benzina "Ben" Reeder, Angelina "Bae" Reeder, Margaret Stafford, Orlanders "Brother" Reeder, Nilem Reeder, and Estella Carey; two sons, James Robertson, Jr. and Chancellor "Pete" Robertson; and two grandchildren, Jumil Robertson and Corey Robinson.
Her legacy will live on through her survivors: one son, Ronald Lee Roberts; four daughters, Delphine Martin (Raleigh) of Walnut Cove, NC, Joyce McCullough (Charlie), Grace Robertson and Linda Robertson all of Winston-Salem, NC; a grandson whom she reared, Matthew Robertson; nine other grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great- great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home.
Private services will be held Monday, June 29, 2020.
