Thomas Harvey Wilson left us to meet his heavenly father on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center with his loving family by his side.  He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and very special to so many.  He was a man full of faith, had a love for God and his family.  To some, he was "Brother Wilson", with family, "Sonnyboy" but to us, he was daddy.

He was born January 1, 1934 in Florence, SC to Henry and Julia Wilson. He grew up in Timmonsville, SC and later moved to Winston-Salem. He had a successful career at RJR Reynolds Tobacco Co where he later retired after 30 years. He was memorable to many co-workers and friends.

He was a member of Christ Rescue Temple Apostolic Churchfor a number of years serving as an usher. In his later years, he was a member of Grace United Holiness Church where he enjoyed praising the Lord every chance he got.  He loved and lived for God's will. His giving heart to family and friends made him special in everyone's heart. His words of wisdom and sound of laughter touched many people around him.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; a wife, Lina Jane Wilson; his sons, Todd Bernard Wilson and Thomas Wilson; and siblings, Francis Wilson and Russell Wilson.

Left to cherish precious memories are his children, Thomasina Porter (Al), Judy W. Davis (Jody), Develyn Heilig (Charlie), Timothy Wilson (Lisa), Portia W. Scott (Mark), and Bobby Lowry; 17 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a dear and devoted sister, Harriett Coe of New York, NY; a spouse, Cora Baker Wilson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, August 10, 2018 at Christ Rescue Temple Apostolic Church with Elder Vernon Amos officiating and Bishop Ricky Wilson eulogist. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
