Thomas Gabriel Leonard went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 7, 2014. He was born to William Gabriel Leonard and Lula Bell Leonard of Winston-Salem, NC. He was a graduate of Atkins High School and Winston-Salem State University; a medic in the US Army where he fought in the Vietnam War; and was employed by the WS/Forsyth County School System, retiring in 2003. Thomas loved fishing, sports, and volunteering.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet B. Leonard.

Thomas is survived by his two daughters, Raychelle and Gabrielle; sister, Barbara Wardlow (Albert); nephew, Albert Wardlow, Jr. (Pat); niece, Sherian Lowery; friend, Constance Dewberry; and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside burial services will be held at 11am Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Evergreen Cemetery, 2124 New Walkertown Rd. W-S, NC. The family will receive visitors at the residence following the service.
The family will assemble at 10am and leave from the Russell Funeral Home, 822 Carl Russell Ave. W-S, NC 27101 enroute to services.
