Theodosia Heriot Young departed this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was born July 8, 1914 in Woodrow, SC to George Washington Heriot and Florence Heriot Reynolds.

She retired from Piedmont Tobacco Co. She was a Christian hearted woman, who loved and trusted God as her personal savior. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church where she sang on the senior choir prior to her failing health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Young; son, Willie Young, Jr.; two daughters, Doshia Marie Young and Amanda Poole; grandson, Kenyon Poole; and all of her siblings.

Left to cherish fond memories are her son, George Young of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters and a devoted son-in-law, Lillie Sneed-Robertson of New York, NY and Valeria (Barnell) Blue of W-S, NC; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at First Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Derwin Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow In Parklawn Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Wednesday at the Church.
