Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Williamson Foster, the daughter of the late Mack Samuels and Mary Williamson Rogers, was born on March 21, 1930 in Winston-Salem, NC and was called to glory on Monday, November 7, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Thelma was educated in the Winston-Salem public school system. In her early years, she worked for the historic Robert E. Lee Hotel.

She was a member of Second New Bethel Baptist Church for over 25 years before moving to Virginia Beach in 1985. She was a faithful member of The Garden of Prayer GOGIC in Norfolk VA. She resumed her fellowship with her home church Second New Bethel Baptist and served on the Mother Board.

She leaves behind one daughter Mrs. Audrey L. Stephens of the home; three granddaughters; five great grands; two sisters; one brother; and a host many family and friends.

Homegoing services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Second New Bethel Baptist Church, 1900 New Walkertown Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27101 with Rev. Shannon L. Jessup, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 1:30pm on Saturday at the Church.
