Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Thelma Lee Richardson departed this earthly life on December 8, 2017 in Winston-Salem, NC.  She was born July 25, 1925 in Monroe, NC the daughter of Clyde & Geneva Mitchell Brown.

Formerly of Philadelphia, PA, she was a faithful member of Philippian Baptist Church.  She married Cyrus C. Richardson and to this union was born two daughters, Brenda R. Russell and Barbara R. Mitchell.

She was a loving, caring, and wonderful mother & grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus; and daughter, Barbara.

She leaves to cherish her life and memories her devoted daughter and caregiver, Brenda; granddaughters, Carlette (Derrick) and Tina (Tim); great-grands, Cyrus, Chaquille, Cairo, Cherokee, Cochise, and Countess; great-great-grands, Zaleigh, Chaquille, Cyrenity, and Cyriah; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Road, Marshville, NC with Reverend Redfern officiating.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Monroe, NC. The family visitation will be held from 10:30 until 11:00am on Saturday at the Church.
