Thelma Geneva Pearson "Mrs. Thelma" was born March 12, 1936 in Ashville, NC to Gene and Inez Moore. Mrs. Thelma was called home on Friday, July 3, 2009 after a long period of illness.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing a loving husband of 41 years, Harold Pearson; her seven children, Robert Lampkins, Reginald Lampkins (Patsy), Cynthia James, Barry Lampkins(Robin), Michelle Cutter (Gregory), Roger Lampkins ( Brenda) and Chanda Pearson; 32 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Dickens of Bronx, New York; a brother, Charles Moore of Newark, New Jersey; two devoted nieces; Brenda Moore of Bronx, New York and Cynthia Moore of Hopewell, Virginia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Homegoing services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Pleasant Union Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Wednesday at the Church.
