Thadus "Tadpole" Herriott, 90, fought a fine fight to the finish and won Tuesday, May 10, 2016. He was born October 5, 1925, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the son of the late Gilbert & Minnie Herriott. He was a member of Union Bethel AME Church and a retiree of Piedmont Leaf Tobacco Co.

He is survived by his children, Gilbert (Laverne), Mary Elizabeth (Donnie Simmons), T.J. (Beverly Ann), Donald (Monique), Velvet (Angela), and Patrick (Joyce) Herriott all of W-S, NC;; eight grandkids; seventeen great-grandchildren; and host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. James AME Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Monday at the Church. The family may be contacted at the home at 2370 Greenway Ave. W-S, NC.
