WINSTON-SALEM - Mr. Thaddeus Alphonse Thomas, Sr., 58, died Friday, May 1, 2009. Mr. Thomas was born in Anson County, November 8, 1950 to William Chester Thomas and Ressie Brewer Thomas. He was a 1969 graduate of Atkins High School in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a member of Gethsemane Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. He was employed by Aramark Services in Winston-Salem and received outstanding performance recognition. He was a kind, gentle and loving person. His family and his children were special and loved by him. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Theodore Lovell Thomas and Everett Denard Thomas. He is survived by the precious love of his life, Elaine; two sons, Thaddeus Alphonse Thomas, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC and William Cory Thomas (Tori) of Decatur, Georgia; a nephew that he call his son, Patrick Lovell Thomas; two daughters, Petrina Williams of Winston-Salem, NC and Diedre Jenkins (James) of Lexington, SC; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Gethsemane Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ernest McLaurin officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Church of God Cemetery, Burnsville, NC. Family visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Saturday, at the church.
