Obituary
Mrs. Teretha H. Fowler of 841 Ferrell Ave. began her home going on Thursday, February 28, 2008. She was born March 7, 1922 to Deacon Ernest Hagins and Hester Hagins.
A native of this city and attended the local public schools. She was an employee of Western Electric for many years. Mrs. Fowler was a faithful member of Goodwill Baptist Church. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Super Sonic Seniors, and the Daughters of Deborah. She was a former member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, the Rev. Robert F. Fowler, her youngest son, Dennis Fowler, a sister, Pauline Lyons, and a brother, Thomas Belton.
Surviving her with precious memories is one daughter, Alva Jean Cannon; two sons, Robert F. (Verlee) Fowler, Jr. and Marvin Fowler; a sister, Jacquelyn Kirkland; six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, March 4, 2008 at Goodwill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 11 am until 12 Noon Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to Goodwill Baptist Church.
