Obituary

Dr. Teresa Ann Williams, age 58, of Brooklyn, NY, returned to her heavenly home on February 14, 2024.  Dr. Williams was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and her family. She set an example for her children and grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.

Dr.  Williams was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 20, 1965 to Shirley and Willie Banks. She was married to her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, Calvin Williams for 40 years but together for 42 years. When you saw one the other was nearby. They had an unbreakable bond and Calvin stood by her side every day until she was called home.

Dr. Williams graduated from Clara Barton High School and later on attended America Come Back to God Bible Institute where she received her Doctorate Degree in Theology.

Amongst becoming a Doctor in Theology, she also became a successful author. In 2022 she published a book entitled The Road to Victory.

Dr. Williams loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God's Word. Though she was a humble and gentle woman, Dr Williams was a powerful prayer warrior. Only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, her friends, and the world at large. She was a member of International Prayer Warriors Church in Brooklyn, NY for over 20 years under the leadership of the late Apostle Rebecca Brown. She played many roles including Ordained Minister, Sunday School Teacher, Spiritual Counselor, Youth Director but most importantly, a servant of God. Dr. Williams felt that it was important for the children to know the word of God and faithfully taught every Sunday while in NY. In 2017, she relocated to North Carolina where she became a member of Life Changing Transformation Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Alice Mitchell. Dr. Williams worked for the Lord inside and outside of the church. During her spare time she volunteered at the hospice home and Samaritan Soup Kitchen to feed the homeless.

Dr Williams was preceded in her death by her father, Willie Banks; mother, Shirley Banks; sister, Lana Fisher; and brothers, John Leecost and Daryl Snyder.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Williams, Sr.; sons, Calvin Williams, Jr. (Chinaza) and Samuel Smith (Kenyatta); daughters, Taynay Williams- Washington (Sean) and LaRhonda Williams; grandchildren, Imani, Joshua, Malachi, Gabriel, Fayth, and Joesyah; siblings, Doreen Snyder, Wise Allah Snyder, Karen Barnes, Raheen Banks, and Sharish Leecost; her sister-in-Christ, Faye Singleton; mother-in-law, Ethel Williams; sister-in-law, Wendy Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Life Changing Transformation Church Ministries, 2001 NE 25th St. W-S, NC 27105. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to Dr Bishop Thomas, Pastor Mitchell, Mother Frost, and Minister Jeremy Williams.
