Tasha Renee Shavers was a caring mother, companion, daughter, sister, and friend. God called his angel home on August 28, 2021 at age 46. She was born in Winston Salem, NC to O'Neal and Gaynelle Shavers on September  21, 1974.

After graduating from North Forsyth High School, Tasha dedicated her life to helping others.  Her cheerful attitude and bright smile could light up any space and warn many hearts.  In 1996, Tasha started her professional career in Food and Nutrition Services with Novant Health. In 2011, Tasha served as a Lead Supervisor for Morrison Healthcare/Compass Group Company. As a result of her outstanding customer service  and team building skills, Tasha was offered to participate in the Accelerated Manager Program through Compass Group Company. Patient care was her specialty. Caring for others brought great joy to Tasha. She had an uncanny ability to meet patients' needs, lead her team and organize daily activities timely. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Tasha loved spending time with her family, especially with her daughters. Tasha enjoyed supporting her daughters in all their activities. She was very proud of her daughters. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family, arts and crafts and giving to others.  Tasha's personality was infectious. Tasha focused on the good in life. Her self confidence enabled her to bring joy to others. Tasha was hard-working, generous and kind. Her physical being will be truly missed but her loving spirit will remain with us.

Tasha leaves in God's care, her beautiful daughters,  Tiasha Shavers-Cowins and Tazara Shaver-Cowins.  In addition, Tasha leaves to cherish her memory; longtime companion, Carlos Cowins; loving parents, O'Neal and Gaynelle Shavers; devoted brother and sister, Thomas Shavers and Donna Shavers; nieces , nephews and other devoted family and friends.  Tasha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emma Petterson, Earline Shavers, and Johnny B. Shavers; and uncle, James Shavers.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
