Obituary

Tamiko Bridges was born to Calvin and Brenda Bridges on July 26, 1968 at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She passed away March 6, 2015 at her residence in Winston-Salem, NC.
She graduated from the public school system. "Tammy" as she was called, dreamed of doing a lot of things with her life, but the one thing she mastered most was taking care of the sick and elderly.

She moved to Winston-Salem, NC in 1989 with her great-grandmother, Margaret Bridges; and her grandmother, Viola Bridges.
Before her illness, she worked from Bayada Nurses for 10 years.
During the first phase of her illness, she was cared for by her loving grandmother, Viola; her father, Calvin and his wife, Cynthia. In the later part of her illness her mother, Brenda, came down to care for her also.

Tamiko was a bright, funny, loving, bubbling, and caring person. She never said anything negative about anyone, always seeing the good in them. She was quiet and reserved, but she also had enjoyable moments when she was out. She would keep you laughing, but also speak up if you said something wrong.

Her laughter and humor will deeply be missed by her father, mother, grandmother, and a host of relatives and friends; too many to name.
Jehovah, thank you for giving her to us for 46 ½ years. We love you Tammy and hope to see you in the new system of things.

Memorial services will be held at 3pm Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
