On January 23, 2021 the Lord called one of his servant's home. Reverend Sylvester Moser, 86, was born August 15, 1934. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.  Reverend Moser was the 1 ^st born to the late Maggie Moser.

Reverend Moser was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Sunday School and the Men's Choir until his health declined. He was also a member of the Red Rock Masonic Lodge #809.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sister Alice Moser; son, Dale Moser; three brothers, Edward, James, and Norman; and one sister, Mary Wilson.

He is survived by his daughter and caregiver, Cynthia M. Mickle; five sons, Cedric (Jennifer), Clifton (Arlethia), Curtis (Lisa), Carlton (Felisa), and Cydney Moser all of the city; two brothers, Donald (Arthelia) and Billy (Marjorie) of California; he was blessed with twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 4:00pm Friday, January 29, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services Saturday, January 30, 2021. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
