Mrs. Susie Young Scott entered this world on December 27, 1956, born to John Henry and Mary B. Young (who both preceded her in death). She was a proud 1975 graduate of West Forsyth High School where she participated in JROTC, Varsity Softball, Library Club, Follies, and other organizations. Mrs. Susie was a devoted Nursing Assistant at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for forty-two years, receiving several awards for her tireless service in patient care.  She never met a stranger, had a smile that would light up any room, was affectionately known by friends as 'Sue Boo', and was a devoted wife and mother.

Mrs. Susie departed on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Bobby S. Scott; four beloved children, Mrs. Tamica Y. (Dr. S.D.) Patterson, Ms. April R. Young, Mr. Darrian S. Scott, and Mr. Princeton J. (Latoya) Scott, Sr.; ten precious grandchildren, Reginald L. Marsh, Jr., Shannon D. Patterson, II., Byron J. Young, Jarrell B. Patterson, Darrian S. Scott, Jr., Darqueas D. Scott, Alexis M. Patterson, Lance J. Patterson, Destiny J. Scott, and Princeton J. Scott. II.; four amazing great grandchildren, Hezekiah S. Pender, Liam L. Marsh, Braxton L. Young, and Sa'ni A. Burns; devoted siblings, Ms. Archevia E. Barr (deceased), Ms. Johnny Mae Williams, Mrs. Mary Y. (Aaron) Smith, Mr. James N. Young, Ms. Hattie L. Fortune, and Ms. Flora J. Shabazz.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
