Mr. Steven Douglas Rucker of 1242 Bohannon Park Cr. W-S, NC was born September 14, 1962 and departed from this life on February 7, 2016.

He was a graduate of South Park High School where he received many recognitions through newspaper articles and fairground competitions for his paintings and drawings. His previous place of employment was with the Forsyth County School System. He was a member of St. Matthew Apostolic Temple Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. and formally served as a van driver, a choir member, and an usher.

Mr. Rucker was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Rogers Rucker.
He leaves to mourn his mother, Mrs. Frances Rucker Smith; one brother, Mr. Rogers Kevin Rucker; six sisters, Mrs. Vickie Lynn (Leon) LeGrant, Ms. Deborah Kay Lindsay, Mrs. Vanessa (Anderson) Noble, Mrs. Rosalind (Darryl) Webb, Mrs. Pamela (David) Williams, and Mrs. Valerie (Darien) Adams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 at St. Matthew Apostolic Temple Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. with Elder Gregory Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Thursday at the Church.
