Sophia Marie Smith "Fena" was born to David Smith and the late Clara Brown on August 22, 1965.  Sophia gained her wings on Friday, December 29, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Dominque Smith and Christien Spencer; four grandchildren, Malik Miller, NyKia Young, Aden Peay, and Core' Peay; a devoted friend, Daryl McDonald; three sisters, Gloria Brown, Beverly Brown Simmons, and Shirley Smith; seven brothers, Clarence Brown, Jr., Tyrone (Kathleen) Brown, Stan Brown, David Smith, Mike (Lonnetra) Smith, Tracy Smith, and Steve (Yvette) Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Donald Hill officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday at the Chapel.
