 In Loving Memory of Rev. Simon Leon Davenport Sr. 

Rev. Simon Leon Davenport was born on July 6, 1941, to the late Theodore and Irene Davenport. He peacefully departed this life on December 14, 2024, after a long journey on earth.

Simon was educated at Woodlawn Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in North Wilkesboro, NC. He was a man of many passions, including fishing and hunting. He especially loved going fishing with his wife and sons. One of his fondest memories was bringing fresh fish from the coast, and no matter what time of night he would return, his wife, Edith, would always fry them up. He would often say, "Boy, these fish taste good."

Rev. Davenport leaves to cherish his memories:

·  A host of nieces, nephews, and friends 

He was preceded in death by:

·  Brothers  : John Davenport Sr., Richard Davenport, Jimmy Davenport

·  Sisters  : Harriet Graham, Nellie Allen, Rose Davenport, Priscilla Davenport

·  Parents  : Irene Davenport and Theodore Davenport

·  Granddaughter  : Tisha Alston
