Mr. Shone Patchell McCain was born on September 1, 1972 to Mitchell and Patsy McCain of Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System, graduating from Carver High School in 1991 where he played on the basketball team and was a member of the JROTC.
He was employed at Ashley Furniture Company before receiving a position at Atrium Windows and Doors where he worked until his death.
Shone was a lifelong member of Central Triad Church where he was a member of the Dream Team as well as the Safety Team. He played a major role in the productions of "The Lost Shepard" and "Sticks and Stones" produced by Central Triad Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell J. McCain. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Patsy S. Todd of the home; his aunts, Lottie Barber (Bobby) and Mattie Brock; his godson, Clayton Chilton; in addition to a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends especially, Chris "Coffee" Porain and Jorge Ochoa.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, April 5, 2024 at Central Triad Church with Dr. Michael Kelly officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
