Mrs. Shirley Jeanetta Williford, 62, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015. She was born August 14, 1952 to Amanda B. Williford and the late Ofield Williford. Shirley's joyful presence will be sincerely missed by her loved ones and all that she knew.
Shirley was a 1970 graduate of Atkins High School and was a dedicated employee retiring from Johnson Controls, Inc. with over 27 years of service. She previously worked for AT&T and Hanes Brands.
Shirley is survived by her loving sons, Dexter (Michelle) Williford of Charlotte, NC, Phillip Headen of Atlanta, GA, and Shaun (Amber) Williford of W-S, NC; granddaughters, Shakee Williford, D'Zhae Williford, and Zoe' Hickman; mother, Amanda B. Williford; sisters, Minister Barbara (Clifton) Fair, Dorsel (Michael) Jackson, Cynthia (Eugene) Gibson, and Jayne Michelle (Anthony) Griffin; brothers, Phil (LaVerne) Williford, Michael Williford, Bobby Williford, Johnny (Beverly) Williford, Kenneth (Anna) Williford, and Dwayne (Kyoko) Williford of Tokyo, Japan; and a host of caring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church, 5095 Lansing Dr. W-S, NC 27105. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
