Mrs. Shirley Ann Goins McDonald, 69, was born September 22, 1944 to Roy and Evelyn Goins.  She was a native of W-S, NC where she attended the W-S/FCSS graduating from Atkins High School in 1963.  After her retirement from Arbor Acres in 2006, Shirley suffered a variety of illnesses that lead to her passing on April 17, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Oscar Lee McDonald; her beloved brother/son, Hiram "Ron" (Shannon) Goins and their four children; brothers, Foster (Shelda) Lassiter and David Smith of Boston, MA; cousin, Sharon Middleton; devoted nieces and nephews, Latonya Goins Dorsey of Dallas, GA, Caprice Goins, Hiram Goins, Jr.; a host of other nieces and nephews; community caretakers, Lula Gamble, Andrea Patton, and supporter, Donna "Jean" Goins.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Chapel.
