Shirley Kinlaw Herbert, 76, was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Joshua and Lucille Kinlaw on May 28, 1946. She was called home on February 11, 2023.

Shirley retired from the Social Security Administration after 35 years of dedicated service.

She was a loyal member of St. Peter's Church and World Outreach Center for 19 years under the esteemed leadership of Bishop James C. and Lady Joyce Hash. In addition, Shirley was a member of the SPWOC Mother's Board and Connect Small Group Ministry.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Joshua Kinlaw; her mother, Lucille Kinlaw; and her sibling, Theresa K. Watters.

She is survived by her brother, Theodore Kinlaw; son, Benjamin Herbert (Nicole); stepson, Steven Johnson; grandsons, Benjamin Herbert, Jr. and Brandon Herbert; granddaughter, Brea Herbert; nephew, Bryan Watters (Helen); a special great niece, Bella Watters and great nephew, Bryan Watters, II; and a host of great- grands, cousins other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Monday, February 27, 2023 at St. Peter's Church and World Outreach Center with Pastor Jayson Sloan officiating.
