Shirley Ann Moses-Frazier was born to Oscar A. Moses, Sr. and Mary Dickey Moses at 734 Hickory St, Winston-Salem, NC on September 19, 1942, the ninth of eleven children. She accepted a call and received her wings on Tuesday morning November 19, 2013.

Shirley began her education in the public schools of Winston-Salem and completed her education through the public school system in New York City, NY. At the time of her transition she was employed by the state of New York, in the Department of Social Services, homeless division. She was married to James Frazier, Sr. and to this union two sons were born. She lived most of her adult life in the Bronx, NY where she lived an active and involved life. She cherished the times spent with family and friends and often spoke of her friends as though they were family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Frazier, Sr.; two brothers, Oscar Moses, Jr. and Amazire Moses; and three sisters, Rosetta Moses, Ruby Moses Hill and Ruth Moses Furches.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, James (Nikki) Frazier, Sr. and Solomon Reid (Rosalind); grandchildren, Dyonne, Trika, James, Jr., Sean, Yanni, Doquann, Raven, LaToya, Solomon, Jr., Rashawn, Sakquanna, Desmond and Netanya; 9 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joniest Moses, Sr. (Victoria), LeVonne Moses and James Moses, Sr. (Brenda); three sisters, Mildred Moses- Macon, Belvia (Samuel) Moses-Gamble and Angela (Johnnie) Moses- Miller; loving nieces, Marynia Hairston and Carmela Valentine, a host of other loving relatives, friends and two devoted friends, Shirley Snype and Jane Williams of Bronx, New York.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, December 2, 2013 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Samuel Cornelius officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
