Shirley Ann Kelly Dodd was born in Walkertown, NC on October 17, 1943. The sun set for her on February 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones and friends. She was born to Julius Watkins Kelly and Martha Ann Hairston Kelly, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Kelly and Donald Kelly; and one grandson, Christopher Dodd.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Dodd, Sr.; four daughters,, JoAnn Dodd, Cynthia Dodd, Sanday Dodd, and Jackie Dodd; one son, Joe Edward Dodd, Jr., all of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Iris May Belcher and Betty Jean Price, both of Walnut Cove, NC; five brothers, Lenard Kelly of Detroit, MI, Clarence Kelly of New York, NY, Ralph Kelly and Elder John Kelly, both of Winston-Salem, NC and Barry Kelly of Walkertown, NC; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law;23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Carl Morgan. Interment will follow in Dry Hollow Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
