Mrs. Shirley Martin Alford, of 1625 E. 3rd Street, was born February 19, 1937 to Cleotis Davis and Johnnie Richardson. She passed away July 10, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, four sisters, and six brothers.

She is survived by six sisters, Christine Littleton of Patterson, NJ, Mae Frances Jones of Walkertown, Geraldine Cunningham, Mary Davis, Gloria Little and Evelyn Price all of the city; four brothers, Bernard Richardson of Chicago, IL, Monroe Martin, Arthur Davis, Jr., and Larry Richardson all of the city; one granddaughter, Towanda Taylor and three other grandchildren of Patterson, NJ; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, July 15, 2013 at White Rock Baptist Church with Rev. V. Cedric Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Monday at the Church.
