Sherry Kay Turner departed her life on October 9, 2022.  Sherry was born to the late John Wesley Turner and Erma B. Turner on February 15, 1953 in Pasquotank County, NC.

She attended the Pasquotank Public School System and retired from Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind.  She enjoyed bowling with the Forsyth Blind Bowlers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Rickey Turner, III; and sisters, Jackie McMurrin, Sandra Spence, and Mary Armstrong.

She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Vincent (Carolyn) Turner and Larry (Ann) Turner; two sisters, Willa (Jim) Sutton and Cora (Billy) Williams all of Elizabeth City, NC; three children, Anna (Serigne) Mbacke, Webster (Lisa) Turner, and Roslyn Todd all of Winston-Salem, NC; significant other, Roderick Todd of the home; six grandchildren, Natalia Turner, Corey Jackson, Veysha Turner of Elizabeth City, NC, Sokhna Mbacke, Peyton Webb, and Bailey Webb of Winston-Salem, NC; two great-grandchildren, Royal Jackson and Joseph Sampson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 12noon Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
