Sherman Dietrich Williams was born on March 12, 1956 in Durham, NC. He passed away October 3, 2010.
He was a graduate of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and held a career as a chef for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Lewis Williams.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Edna M. Wilkins of Winston-Salem, NC; his step-father, Oscar C. Wilkins of Winston-Salem, NC; his devoted friend, Chemeka Hughes; four children, Chris (Jackie) McClean, Edna Shree Williams, Sherman Dietrich Williams, Jr., and Shermon Dietrich Williams; his siblings, Bea (Gordon) Bridges, Wilbert (Betty)Haney, Boyd L. Williams, and Dana Moore all of Winston-Salem, NC and Roger (Clatha) Kirkpatrick of Kernersville, NC; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Mark Mack officiating. The family visitation will be held from 2:30pm until 3:30pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family will be taking visitation at 2900 Maranville Trail Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
He will be truly missed.
