Mr. Sherman Green, of 1904 Flatrock St. was plucked from the garden of life on July 24, 2012.
Sherman was the eldest son of six children.
He attended the Forsyth County Schools and worked for Wake Forest University (Aramark) until his health failed.
Sherman was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Sherman and Juanita Green; and 3 sisters.
He leaves to cherish a loving and devoted wife of ten years, Mattie Green of the home; seven daughters, LaShaunda Martin, Shatina Givens, LaVette Wallace, Tanisha Parrott, Shermeca (James) Griffin, LaFreda House, and Christina Hayward; fifteen grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Mims, Pamela (Charles) Moultrie, Mary (Darrell) Myers, Angela Edwards, and Sharon Littlejohn; three brothers, James Green, Reginald (Elizabeth) Green, and Sherman Littlejohn; six devoted nieces, Tamekia (Mont) Barnes, Sharnita (Corry) Young, Tangala Mims, Candice Green, LeQuille Green, and Kareasha Green; a devoted nephew, Larry Shamar Baker; a devoted cousin, Michael Pettigrew; two aunts, Christina Moses and Colleen Leak; a devoted friend, Yvonne Wiley; and a host of family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Julius Greene officiating. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Monday at the Chapel.
