Shelton Holman, affectionately known to family and friends as "Shep Lee", was born June 9, 1949 and departed this earthly life on April 26, 2017.  He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Schools and loved his life to the fullest.  He was loved by many, especially his family.

"Shep Lee" was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Turner Holman; father, Boysie Holman; daughter, Jean Lovette Holman; grandparents, Deacon Julius Turner & Nora Turner; brother, Elward Levon Holman, Sr.; sister, Dara Leigh Holman, and his nephew, Kevin Holman.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Tonya Holman; son, Eric Wright; grandchildren, Shakeeta Wright, Donald Wright, Salim Wright, Tyishka Comer, and Johnae Comer; sister, Deloise Holman Chiles; sister-in-law, Blondie Holman; nieces, Pamela Holman, Joi Holman, Revonia Holman, Donna Holman, Tonesca Holman, and Christa Holman-Brantley; nephews, Elward Levon Holman, Jr. and Dana Frazier; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Chapel.
