Sheila Brown Sparks or "Scotty" as she was affectionately known, began life on April 16, 1955. She was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Mr. William Brown and Mrs. Jane Ester Hailstock Brown.

After a long period of illness, God sent his angels to bring her to her Heavenly home, where there is no more pain and suffering. Glory be to God, that is too wise to make a mistake.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edrick Lenard Brown and William Hailstock; and her sister, Emily Sparks.

Sheila leaves to cherish precious memories her loving and devoted husband, Fred Sparks; her daughter, Zena Scott; stepdaughter, Tiffany Sparks; grandchildren, Jahnay Smith, Aunzay Scott, Legend Smith and Chris Sparks; a loving sister, Cathy Hailstock; special niece, LaTonya Hailstock; in-laws, Rae, Debra, Jeff and Michelle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Russell Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00pm Friday, January 9, 2026 in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
