Sheila Cozette Hairston, 52 of Rural Hall, NC went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born on September 22, 1956 to Thelma Hairston and Joe (Neithier) Reynolds. She graduated from North Forsyth High School and Rutledge Business College.
She was preceded in death by her biological parents and her adopted parents, Frank and Annice Hinkle; an adopted brother, Melvin Sheff.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are three devoted children, Randy (Amy), Charles (Tyechia) and Katherine Hairston; one step-daughter, Teflon Phillips; a very devoted companion George Harris; nine brothers, Nathaniel (Georgette), Larry, James (Mary), and Bernard Hairston, James (Pamela) and Keith Isles, Joe, Jr., Davey and Kevin Reynolds; six sisters, Nellie Mae (Elreese) Autery, Gwendolyn (Willie) Brooks, Princess (Leonard) Davis, Teresa (Ronald) Reynolds-Fulp, Barbara Joyner and Donna (Juan) Mosqueda; seven devoted grandchildren, Zack, Andrew, Passion, Ferris, Diamond, Devin, and CK; two step-grandchildren, Sheila and Duke Phillips; an aunt and uncle, Ila and Arthur Eldridge; a very devoted cousin, Timothy Eldridge; a devoted friend, Mackenzie Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shirley L. Johnson officiating. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2pm on Tuesday at the Chapel.
