Mr. Shawnta Staggers, 34 passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center.
He was born January 14, 1975 in Winston-Salem, NC. He attended Reynolds High School, Forsyth Technical Community College, and was employed as a chef. He was enlisted in the United States Navy and served for three years.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Gordon and Johnny Lee Staggers.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Quinton and Qua'Darius Staggers and their mother, Maime Woods; his parents, Mildred and Byron Robinson and Jerry Gordon; two sisters, Shayla Robinson and Khayla Staggers; his grandparents, William and Rosie McKoy, Marcellette Curchfield, and Lucille Gordon; two nephews; one niece; and a host of aunts, uncles, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, October 9, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Leon Oglesby officiating. The family visitation will be held from1:30pm until 2pm on Friday at the funeral home.
