Shawn DeWayne Pressley, 28, was born July 21, 1986 in W-S, NC to Tonya Watson and Silas Pressley, Jr. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 22, 2014.

Shawn was a 2004 graduate of Carver High School, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Winston Salem State University Class of 2008, and was employed at Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy as a tenth grade Chemistry teacher and the girls assistant track coach. Shawn was also employed with Burlington Coat Factory for 6 years.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Tonya (Eric) Watson and Silas Pressley, Jr.; his daughter, Naysia Shawn Pressley; brother, Silas (LaShunda) Pressley, III.; maternal grandparents, Bishop Joseph Lowery and Evangelist Josephine Lowery; paternal grandparents, Silas Pressley, Sr. and Annie Bell Pressley Muldrow; special niece, Ayanna A. Pressley; special uncle, Nathaniel T. (Precious) McCloud; special aunt, Jacqueline M. Lowery; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, October 27, 2014 at St. Matthew Apostolic Temple Church, 3640 New Walkertown Rd. W-S, NC 27105. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
