Sharon Diane Young was born on May 18, 1952 to the late Pauline Blair Rodman and Eulace Rodman. She worked as an Administrative Clerk for Bowman Gray School of Medicine for many years. Sharon was an enthusiastic conversationalist who always found the right words to share at the right time. She enjoyed great music, collecting jewelry and coins.  She always made time for family and friends and will be forever remembered and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by two of her siblings, Carolyn Griffin and Leroy Blair.

She is survived by her former spouse, Ronald Young; four children, Kimmilli (Richard) Jackson, John (Maria) Segers, Jr., Ronald Lee Young, Jr., and Bryan Lamar Young; she leaves to cherish her loving memories five grandchildren, Jayla Greely, Anthony Greely, Jr., John Segers, III, Ronald Young, III, and Jordon Young; siblings, Brenda Braham, Reginald Rodman, Denise Rodman, Keith Rodman, Herbert Rodman, and Virgil Rodman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held Monday, August 17, 2020.
