Mrs. Sharon D. Wright was born October 27, 1956 to William Doby, Sr. and Savannah P. Doby. She transitioned from this earthly realm on November 7, 2022.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dexter Wright, Jr.

She leaves her loving husband, Dexter A. Wright; daughter, Shanita Green; daughter-in-law, Ebonni Drummond; 5 grandchildren, Alphonso Green, II, Jesse Green, Justun Green, Malcolm Wright, and Ivy Wright; 4 siblings, Valisia Acker, William (Joyce) Doby, Jr., Patricia Doby, and Reginald (Sheila) Doby; and a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her loving memories.

She attended the WS/FC Public School System and later attended WSSU, where she obtained a BA in Early Childhood Development and a masters in IT. Sharon retired from B.E. Aerospace and spent her later years as a substitute teacher, which she truly enjoyed.

Sharon was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church her entire life. She enjoyed being involved in the following ministries: Sunday School teacher and attendee, Vacation Bible School teacher, Lilies of the field missionary group, spiritual choir, trustee and data entry, church clerk, women's fellowship, Centennial planning committee. Truly faithful in every aspect of service to Christ and Church.

She was a well-known member of National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. Beta Lambda chapter and the Kernersville Chapter of National Women of Achievement (NWOA).

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Church.
